It's
not easy to describe the excitement and anticipation
one feels when they sit down with their new drum set
for the first time. It's an intimate moment, surely.
That first step on the bass pedal- making that solid
connection between your body and your instrument;
the exploring of all of the nuances a cymbal offers,
maybe then a little timid tapping on snare and toms...inevidibly
followed by some general thrashing about... yeah....primal.
Then
it's to business of learning your fundamentals. Iimmediately
you discover just how big a challenge playing drums
really is. The last thing you need is to find yourself
struggling with a poorly built drum set as well.
We
have always felt that a student shouldn't be forced
to learn on a sub-standard kit that won't sit still;
tune properly, rattles like a jar of nuts and bolts,
or comes apart after a few months of normal use.
For
over 10 years, Sunlite has been leading by example
with our SP-509DP Select 5 pc. student kit.

quality 9 ply basswood shells instead of composites (aka
particle board), sturdy double braced hardware, expert
construction, and features that many other entry level
sets leave off- like cymbals and throne, chain driven
bass pedal, convertible bass drum spurs, 6 colors to choose
from, and available add on 8",10",14" and
18" toms- all combine to make what some drum magazines
have considered to be the best value in today's student
drum marketplace.
